As you can see from their engagement session, natural light is always my favorite to work with. I couldn’t wait when I was told that Kayte and Jeremy were going to be married at Oakwind Bed and Breakfast in Alvin. The B&B has a great, laid back country feel with abundant natural light to play with, both inside and out. It was a definite pleasure to go through and edit this set, as Kayte and Jeremy had beautifully set up and executed their wedding. The details were awesome, giving me tons of inspiration all along the way. Congratulations, you guys, I’m so excited to share these images with you! read more

Shooting a photographer’s wedding is something that I’ve had on my to-do list since I started with wedding photography. To me, it is the ultimate compliment to have another photographer trust you with documenting their wedding day, and I was thrilled when Roberto and Lori contacted me about covering theirs. While talking with them about their plans, it became apparent that our ideas and styles matched up perfectly – I loved every sample photo they showed me, their decor was beautiful, and they were willing to take extra time to make sure that we got some great shots. As a photographer, Roberto knows what will photograph well, and Lori knows which props will enhance an image so that it can look its absolute best. Lori’s bridal set came out beautifully, just as expected, so as we got closer to the wedding, I was very confident that this would be a wedding set to remember. And I was right. read more

I’d been looking forward to Stephen and Meghan’s wedding for months now. Ever since we got together to discuss their wedding plans this spring, I knew that their wedding was going to be amazing. To me, it’s the little details that make a wedding special, and Stephen and Meghan’s day wasn’t lacking in any of them. From the warm surroundings of Sara’s Inn where Meghan and her bridesmaids got ready, to the deep blue sky and golden stars of All Saints Catholic Church under which they exchanged their vows, everything added up to make this truly the picture perfect wedding. I loved their reception at the Houston Heights Fire Station, which was a great departure from the norm. The couple exited in Stephen’s absolutely mint 1993 Mazda RX-7, which I will definitely have to give a proper photo shoot sometime in the near future. read more
