Better late than never to share this awesome road trip that Theo-Graphics took to both Austin and Dallas to photograph 4 stunning cars for Bonhams Auctioneers. Back in July of 2015 we traveled to two separate collections in Texas, each of which had some marquee models in the car world. First was the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL – the world famous “Gullwing” supercar, upon which the current Mercedes SLS pays homage. Factory original paint and interior, this car was one of the cleanest examples I’d ever seen. You simply cannot take a bad image of this car!
After a two month absence from Vintage Park, Houston Coffee & Cars returned this past Saturday to resume the monthly event. After a very brief rest from the 4th of July festivities, I got on the road to Vintage Park around 5:50am in order to get there as the sun was rising. Got there just in time and was treated to perfectly soft light as the cars began to roll in. The lots weren’t as crowded as they normally are, thanks to the 2 month break, so it was nice to be able to wander around and look at cars without a huge crowd. While there, I learned more about the upcoming Lamborghini Festival (September 13-14, 2014) and a few plans for upcoming C&C shows. All I can say is that there is some impressive machinery scheduled, so be sure to make it out the next few months!
I was recently contacted by Mode Carbon to photograph this beautiful Mercedes C63 Edition 507, which they’d supplied many custom carbon fiber pieces for. The owner keeps this car immaculate and has many custom feautres inside and out, like the jaw-dropping white leather and alcatara seats with carbon fiber buckets. The car, along with my photos was featured on 2/25 on GTSpirit.com, which is always exciting.
Here are a couple of BTS photos while we were prepping for the sessions. Many thanks to Thien of Thien Nguyen Photography for his assist in lighting!
