Maggie and Chris’ relationship started off as a workplace romance. Maggie’s caught Chris’ eye and he knew he had to meet her. She worked in a different department, so it took some plotting to come up with excuses to talk to her. Eventually, he mustered up the courage and asked her out for pizza. The rest is history and now they will have a “pizza” each other’s hearts for the rest of their lives. Like what I did there? 😉
We wanted to highlight Maggie and Chris’ love for Houston and pizza so we planned a fun engagement session including Houston’s revitalized downtown, an iconic Houston pizza spot, Frank’s Pizza, (if you haven’t been there at 2 AM are you really a Houstonian?), and a highrise roof top for some gorgeous skyline shots.
Bret and Meredith are a Houston “it” couple. Meeting at a trendy bar, living in their gorgeous home in Meyerland, and socializing throughout the city whenever they can. We loved when they said that they wanted their engagement session to be in Houston’s revitalized downtown The unique mix of architecture between the 1912 Rice Hotel (where they are getting married!), warehouse-style buildings turned into moderns bars, and unique green spaces make for a fun and dynamic session.
After we shot around downtown, we made a move to our favorite park in Houston, Centennial Gardens. We had about 20 minutes to shoot because they are super strict on their closing times. The park attendants even go as far as shouting at you with a bullhorn to make sure you know it’s time to go! Even with those pesky park attendants, Centennial never disappoints. With ever-changing landscape, giving you everything from gorgeous desert plants to romantic roses it’s a perfect backdrop.
Anthony and MyLinh’s pre-wedding session is a cultural normality that is quickly gaining speed here in the US!. The main difference between pre-wedding photos and standard American photos is that couple quite often will actually wear their wedding day attire. Because they are wearing such fabulous outfits the shots tend to be a bit more glamorous! It also holds the great benefit of being able to get a much greater number of couple’s photos than may be possible on the actual wedding day, and what’s not to love about that!
What a night! Armand and Alexa pulled out all the stops for their beautiful wedding at the Petroleum Club of Houston this spring. I first met Armand when he was just getting started with is own law firm. He hired me to take his head shots in his office, and I could immediately tell that he was going to be successful. His upbeat personality is infectious, and he seems to have found his perfect match with Alexa. She was one of the most laid back, fun brides I’ve ever worked with, and going through the wedding day with the two of them was an absolute pleasure. Congratulations, you guys, I’m so happy for you!
I was contacted by a local company in need of portraits for their employees. They needed a few “standard” portraits, but in addition, wanted some that were more modern and less traditional. So we walked around north downtown, capturing the employees at a few different locations in order to get a nice variety for usage on their website and branding materials. It was a fun take on the usual business portrait session!
It’s always an honor to be trusted with the images of a fellow photographer, so I was thrilled when Josh contacted me about photographing his wedding with his fiancee Nancy. We met at the newly erected Jane Gregory Garden near downtown Houston this past fall while everything was green and in bloom. Really loved the warm light that added to the intimacy of the session. Can’t wait for their big day!
We’ve enjoyed our time with Ricky and Catherine so much! They are a totally unique and fun couple that are full of surprises, and their wedding was no different. We’re so happy to have been a part of your big day, Ricky and Catherine, we wish you the best! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out their engagement session here.

What a beautiful wedding. We love working at Hotel Icon, and it certainly did not disappoint this time. What a gorgeous room for the bridal party to get ready in! The love, care, and passion that went into this wedding was readily apparent at the reception, with an absolutely gorgeous showing at Kim Son Downtown. We’re so happy for these two, congratulations!
