This past February we gathered all our gear and headed east to the land of Hot Chicken, Honky Tonk, and Smoky Mountains to meet with Christine and Alex at Percy Warner Park. The day before the session, heavy rain and rolling fog overtook the city, making us a bit worried about what we could expect upon our arrival at the park.
Our worries quickly faded that morning though, when we reached the park in the early morning hours. We loved the cool, earthy tones that the dense clouds provided us, almost like shooting at dawn for a few hours. We had such a great time that we’re looking for any excuse to head back to Nashville. Thanks again to Christine and Alex, I hope you love the photos!
It’s always an honor to be trusted with the images of a fellow photographer, so I was thrilled when Josh contacted me about photographing his wedding with his fiancee Nancy. We met at the newly erected Jane Gregory Garden near downtown Houston this past fall while everything was green and in bloom. Really loved the warm light that added to the intimacy of the session. Can’t wait for their big day!
We love traveling for pretty much any reason, so we were excited when Erin and Sean expressed interest on having their engagement session photographed in Austin! It was great to have a nice, fresh perspective on a place we haven’t photographed before, and it always helps when your couple is as fun and photogenic as these two are! Congratulations to you both, can’t wait for the wedding!
We had such a great time with Steven and Sydney on their engagement session at Centennial Gardens! These two were naturals in front of the camera, they sure did make my work easy! Congratulations, you two!
Shooting in new places in Houston is always a thrill, so I was really excited when Sharla and Peter suggested the Asia Society Texas Center for their fall engagement session! It’s modern style, clean and angular architecture lends itself perfectly for an engagement session. We had a blast walking the grounds and playing with the interesting light and shadows. Thanks so much for inviting me to this new venue, guys!
I have really been pushing for clients to find somewhere truly meaningful for their engagement sessions this year, and our time with Hailey and Phil shows exactly why. Phil is a big time fisherman and they always enjoy heading down to the beach together with their pup, Luke. Phil let us in on “The Spot”, where he always gets the best catches, and we met there on a perfect afternoon. The special meaning of this spot really shined through in the images, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Congrats guys, can’t wait for the wedding!
We traveled to Austin, Texas to meet with Ashley and Cody for their engagement session at Jester King Brewery and Historic Stagecoach Park in Buda. We were treated to a perfect sunset that evening, making for some nice warm, summery shots. We are so excited for their wedding coming up next February!
Summertime in Texas can be a trying time, so we were more than happy to head 45 minutes south to Galveston Island for Ashley and Brad’s summer engagement session! With spotty rain coming in and out seemingly every day, we were lucky enough to be treated to a beautiful pink and blue sunset that evening, which worked out so perfectly for photos on the beach near the Galveston Pleasure Pier. We can’t wait for Ashley and Brad’s wedding at Briscoe Manor, coming soon!
