We had such a great time with Steven and Sydney on their engagement session at Centennial Gardens! These two were naturals in front of the camera, they sure did make my work easy! Congratulations, you two!
Congratulations to Jonathan and Christina, we can’t wait for August!
Just in time for their wedding coming up this very weekend, we’re excited to share their fall engagement session at the McGovern Centennial Gardens at Hermann Park! We can’t wait for this weekend, it is going to be a blast. Congratulations, guys!
We met up with Scott and Katie on a cool winter afternoon in December for their engagement session. Scott brought along his beautifully restored Ford Bronco, which we used in a number of images before heading up to Hermann Park for sunset. We can’t wait for their big day coming up this spring. Congratulations again, guys!
Richard and Melissa are good friends of mine so I was excited when they reached out about engagement shots at Hermann Park! They were engaged just a few short months ago at Royal Oak in Montrose, and wanted a session at the park with their pup Rascal. We got a lucky break in the fickle Houston spring weather, and met up at the park on a perfect day to shoot. It was a great time, and we all now know that Rascal definitely has a calling for dog modeling should he so desire.
Congrats again, guys!
We met with Jenna & Todd after they looked over Kristin and Kevin’s set at The Retreat at Artesian Lakes last year. We met up for a drink and discussed the wedding day and their upcoming trip to Europe (which has since happened, and looked like a ton of fun), among other things. We elected to meet for the engagement session at Hermann Park later on in the year when the “Houston payoff weather” (as I like to call it) was coming into effect. When we met in early October, we knew we’d made the right choice! Warm, soft light, cool breezes and temperatures made for an awesome session.
Gina, Austin, and I met up at Onion Creek in mid-January after her brother Mike (who was my fraternity brother in school at Stephen F. Austin) referred me to her. Gina is currently relocating back to Houston to be with both Austin and her family, so it was great to be able to meet in person despite her hectic schedule. The two met at OU while both were studying for their bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and the rest, they say, is history. After having to reschedule multiple times due to soggy Houston spring weather, we finally caught a break from the wetness and jumped at the opportunity to meet at Hermann Park. Here are a few favorites from the set. Congrats again, guys, I can’t wait for October!
With the recent spat of nasty weather Houston’s been having, we thought that we might have to reschedule on the day of the engagement session, but we decided to have at it anyway. I’m so glad we did because the clouds parted and gave way to a perfectly mild, golden evening for us. It was so much fun shooting with these two, and I can’t wait for the big day coming up in September!
I love it when you’re able to work with a couple that you just absolutely click with. This session was a great time, from start to finish. We met at Hermann Park an hour or so before sundown with no real plan as to where we were going to shoot or what we were going to do. We began walking around, stopping when things caught our eye. These two were so incredibly comfortable and confident with each other in front of the camera, that my work became easy!
As the light began to get longer and softer, we really settled into our stride, getting some amazing shots along the water near the zoo. We wrapped up the set just as the sun was beginning t o tuck below the horizon, ending a really special session. I am now working on their wedding photos, which I cannot wait to share as well!
