We love traveling more than pretty much anything else, so when you can combine travel with a wedding, it makes for an extremely exciting opportunity. We’ve been friends with Joe and Megan for quite some time now, starting when they contacted us about a session with the two of them and their Factory Five Shelby Cobra Replica. We loved the creativity and the effort they put into the set, and it really paid off – it has been one of our favorite sessions for years! Fast forward a few years, and Joe popped the question while they were vacationing in southeast Asia. A short time later, they contacted me about photographing their wedding at El Mangroove Hotel in Costa Rica, an offer which we quickly accepted.
Having the opportunity to travel with Tony and Christine was such a great experience. These two share a similar desire to travel, so they were troopers when it came to waking up at sunrise for photos, or staying out until the twilight hours for the perfect shot. Thanks so much to you both for bringing me along on your journey, it was certainly a trip to remember!
This past February we gathered all our gear and headed east to the land of Hot Chicken, Honky Tonk, and Smoky Mountains to meet with Christine and Alex at Percy Warner Park. The day before the session, heavy rain and rolling fog overtook the city, making us a bit worried about what we could expect upon our arrival at the park.
Our worries quickly faded that morning though, when we reached the park in the early morning hours. We loved the cool, earthy tones that the dense clouds provided us, almost like shooting at dawn for a few hours. We had such a great time that we’re looking for any excuse to head back to Nashville. Thanks again to Christine and Alex, I hope you love the photos!
We love to travel, so we were so excited to be able to head west to the hill country for both Ashley and Cody’s engagement session and their wedding. We were treated to perfect light both days, and had so much fun celebrating with both families. Thanks so much for having us along for the ride, guys!
We love traveling for pretty much any reason, so we were excited when Erin and Sean expressed interest on having their engagement session photographed in Austin! It was great to have a nice, fresh perspective on a place we haven’t photographed before, and it always helps when your couple is as fun and photogenic as these two are! Congratulations to you both, can’t wait for the wedding!
So happy to have been able to cover this very special wedding for my cousin Joe and his wife Lisa. I traveled up to Ohio to be with the family and photograph their intimate backyard wedding at Joe’s childhood home. Rain loomed in the forecast all day, but luckily held off until the very end, which was already far too late to dampen the already high spirits.
Joe and Lisa, I’m thrilled for you both – congratulations!
We traveled to Austin, Texas to meet with Ashley and Cody for their engagement session at Jester King Brewery and Historic Stagecoach Park in Buda. We were treated to a perfect sunset that evening, making for some nice warm, summery shots. We are so excited for their wedding coming up next February!
Back in early April I was contacted by two longtime friends, Travis and Lisa, who were going to be getting married in a simple backyard ceremony in Wimberley, Texas. It would just be the two of them, their pup, Travis’ mom, the minister, and myself. It was a refreshing change, and so nice to be able to capture something so intimate and special. We’re so happy for the both of them!
Better late than never to share this awesome road trip that Theo-Graphics took to both Austin and Dallas to photograph 4 stunning cars for Bonhams Auctioneers. Back in July of 2015 we traveled to two separate collections in Texas, each of which had some marquee models in the car world. First was the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL – the world famous “Gullwing” supercar, upon which the current Mercedes SLS pays homage. Factory original paint and interior, this car was one of the cleanest examples I’d ever seen. You simply cannot take a bad image of this car!
