Married! Mike & Krista’s Wedding at the Schuster Center | Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photography

Krista and Mike

Just one short month ago, we were up in the clouds en route to Dayton, Ohio for Mike and Krista’s wedding. Landing in Indianapolis and driving on to Dayton, we drove through roads that cut through vast green cornfields, stretching as far on as I could see. Quite a different perspective than we were used to in Houston!

On the wedding day, we arrived at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, not prepared for how stunning the building really was. Appearing like a blue Faberge egg jutting out of an otherwise ordinary building, it was a stark contrast to the dull buildings surrounding it. Inside, the ceiling soared multiple stories to a gold roof, with spindly blueish-green supports holding it up. A corkscrew staircase wound its way up, completing this very modern, yet very organic design that was like nothing I’d had the pleasure of photographing before.

Krista and Mike had planned a day that meandered naturally around friends, family, music, and of course each other. As the afternoon gave way to night, we all danced, drank, and carried on, reveling in the beautiful moments that Krista, Mike, and their respective families had provided us. To Krista and Mike: Thank you, thank you, thank you for entrusting me to capture these special moments for you. I hope you both enjoy the photos half as much as I did taking them!

A special thanks as well to Andrea of Andrea Dozier Photography for capturing the day with me.
