Just a few short months after photographing the cars in their “found” state in New Mexico, I traveled to Phoenix where the cars had been brought to be restored by a reputable third party. All the cars recieved a thorough cleaning and all new components to bring them back to running condition. All these cars had fewer than 20,000 miles (most under 10,000), so they were all basically in like-new condition. I found a nearby park to photograph most of the cars, which featured the red, rocky landscape of Phoenix. Shooting outside all day in a Phoenix summer was no joke, my rental car’s temp gauge was reading 115 degrees! Well worth it though to be able to spend some time with these amazing cars. So great to be able to see their progression from the barn in New Mexico to shining in the Arizona sun just a few months apart.
