A Massive Collection of Classic Cars at the O’Quinn Estate | Houston Automotive Photographer

Theo-Graphics O'Quinn Layout

I was called over to the O’Quinn Estate one more time recently to photograph a sizeable chunk of what is left of the massive collection. The majority in this set were classic American muscle cars, but there were a few European oddities tossed in there for good measure. It’s such a shame to have to run through these cars so quickly, as I could spend an entire day just photographing one of these amazing machines. But the experience of coming into contact with pieces of history like this will be something that I won’t ever forget. As the collection dwindles down to about 40 cars after this lot, what once was a collection of around 1,000 cars seemingly vanished in a matter of years. It’s pretty sad to see the collection broken up, but I’m glad to have been able to document it at the least.

Dedicated for Ron Fellows success in Chevrolet’s GT-1 Class ALMS race, this special edition Corvette has less than 200 factory miles.

Such a beautiful car, inside and out. Flawless black paint and its the 327 V8 that rumbles along perfectly.

1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396

1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro

– “COPO is an acronym for Central Office Production Order, and was the ticket to getting some souped-up Camaro with big-block power under the hood. Not just 396 power, but 427-cu.in. power with 425hp. There were several COPO designations, but basically, this meant there was a limited run of non-standard vehicles-something you could not order from Honest Harry at Chevy Land in Anytown, U.S.A.” – Source

1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone Pace Car Convertible

1965 Rambler Ambassador 990 Convertible

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Motion Phase III

Only 15,000 miles since new, this Corvette is very unique in the fact that it retains the original 454-cid V-8 with a four-speed transmission that was given the speed guarantee of 11.5 seconds in the quarter mile. It also carries a second guarantee offered by Motion; with the extremely rare Hone overdrive installed this car was given a guarantee to cruise at 120mph with the overdrive engaged.

More info on this beast here.

A beast of a car, with open headers leading to 428 Cobra Jet V8, this thing was loud. See for yourself in the video below, which still doesn’t do it justice.

And one more of the King Cobra warming up its tires just a little bit, and me giggling like an idiot while recording. It’s pretty hard not to with this car, haha.
