The Petroleum Club is a great venue for a wedding. Up high in the clouds, surrounded by the downtown Houston skyline, stuffed leather chairs and rich materials all around. It just oozes class. I was really excited when Dane and Kantrell told me that this was where they would be having their ceremony and reception. When I arrived on the wedding day, everyone was looking the part, the men dressed sharply and the ladies looking elegant and beautiful. The ceremony was set at the perfect time, as sunlight filled the room, giving everything a warm, ethereal feeling.
With Dane & Kantrell now officially hitched, we made our way into the adjacent room for the reception, which featured an awesome panoramic view ranging from downtown to west Houston. A candy bar was set up at the far end of the hall, which was quickly sacked by all the kids, darting back and forth from their tables to the bar to restock. Shortly after were the first dances, of which we were able to capture some very special moments between Kantrell and her father.
From there on out, it was party time! All the guests slowly gathered steam until everyone was out on the dance floor, dancing with the bride, with the groom, or anyone else who happened to be in a 5 foot radius. It was an awesome time!
Dane and Kantrell, it has been so great getting to know you two in the past few months. You are both warm, friendly people and I am so happy that I was able to cover your special day. Congratulations, guys!
