After not being able to make it to Coffee & Cars in July, I was fully committed to coming this month! Even though I had a wedding later that afternoon, it was completely worth it to wake at the crack of dawn and make the long drive out to Cypress for the event. It’s turned into quite a spectacle, and the lot is pretty much at capacity around 7am! There were a few Coffee and Cars “regulars” that I recognized around the lots, and lots of new faces. The featured car this month was a 1984 Lamborghini Jalpa P3500 driven by Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV. It is an interesting looking car to say the least…VERY 80’s. Plenty outrageous, but not quite matching the legendary flair of the Countach. Also present were a pair of Renaults, one a mid-80’s Turbo 2, a gorgeous Mercedes 190SL and a 1973 Porsche 911 2.4T. Very cool to see such new variety! Although not as much fun, it was great to see (mostly) everyone respecting the no-rev rule imposed by the coordinators. Vintage Park is a great spot for the event, and it would be a real shame to lose it!
Anyway, enjoy the photos! I am hopefully going to make it for September, but it will all depend on whether or not I can fit it in before that day’s wedding. Can’t wait!
