We had a great time out at Coffee & Cars this past month! The event was held at Reliant Park in conjunction with the Houston Grand Prix, and it was nice to have a change of venue, if only for one month. I met up with a few other cars at Lucas Auto Care as part of their monthly “Meet, Greet, & Ride” to Coffee & Cars, and took an awesome drive from their shop in Cypress, down 45 through downtown to Reliant Park. I got some footage of the ride on a borrowed GoPro camera, but unfortunately the camera froze about a third of the way into the drive (missing the great sunrise footage at downtown, of course). It was still an incredible ride, and I’m looking forward to taking part in it again next month, when Coffee & Cars will be at Vintage Park again.
The turnout at Reliant was noticeably smaller, most likely because of the Grand Prix as well as people who didn’t get the notice that it wouldn’t be at Vintage Park that month. I arrived around 7:45am but had apparently missed good portion of the exotics…shame!
After C&C, I headed to the Grand Prix, the photos of which I’m still working out. Stay tuned for those soon!
Below is a short video from the ride. Hope to have a better quality one next month.
