Married! Jeff & Linda’s Wedding at Lost Mission | San Antonio Wedding Photography

I headed out to San Antonio a few weekends ago to assist my good friend and fellow photographer Robert of Dabert Photography on a wedding of his. The wedding was set at Lost Mission, in Spring Branch, Texas, about 20 minutes north of San Antonio. Lost Mission was a beautiful place, set in the Hill Country of Texas. Adobe buildings sat along a small bricked walkway, with gnarled trees reaching overhead in the midday sun. It made for a very fresh, new, and exciting place to shoot! Jeff and Linda were an amazingly laid back couple, who had placed photography as one of their priorities of the day. Because of this we had a good amount of time to walk around and explore a bit to get some fun shots before the ceremony.

After a lightning quick ceremony, we moved to the reception area, which had large sliding doors overlooking a sunken gully on one side, and an outdoor patio area with a long fire pit on the other. Linda had draped large swaths of fabric over the rafters of the tall ceilings, which gave the room a very light and airy feeling. The reception was a ton of fun, and we managed to slip the couple away for a bit to get some very nice portraits by the fire pit. It was a lot of fun to travel and experience a completely different shooting environment, and I hope to do more traveling soon!

On to the photos. Enjoy!
