It seems like just yesterday I accompanied Marco and Cindy to their Woodlands engagement session, but before I knew it, their wedding day had arrived! Their wedding was a family affair from start to finish, surrounded by all of their loved ones and others most important to them. Marco and Cindy were so calm throughout the day, taking all the stress of the wedding day in a stride.
The wedding at Assumption Catholic Church was beautiful, with the towering ceilings of the church and dapples of color beaming in from the stained glass windows. I loved shooting with Marco and Cindy after the wedding in front of the church. The large oaks lined up in a row make the perfect backdrop for the couple, bathed in the warm sunlight of the afternoon.
The reception at E. Richey Gardens went off perfectly, with the Vibora de la Mar dances capping off the night with a flurry of excitement, as they always seem to do. With the help of bridesmaids and groomsmen, Marco and Cindy were able to stay safely standing on their seats as guests linked arms and ran underneath their “bridge”. After the bouquet and garter toss Marco, Cindy and I went outside along the side of the reception hall to get some sparkler shots. After a few outtakes that included me running in circles around them, almost wiping out with sparklers in hand, we got some great shots “painting” with the sparklers.
All that was left after that was their sparkler exit with ended with the perfect “pow!” when Marco dipped Cindy, giving her a kiss while surrounded by the warm, dreamy haze of the sparkler smoke. What a way to end the night!
I’m so excited for you two, congratulations to Marco and Cindy!
