My favorite thing about being a destination wedding photographer is photographing wedding days like this stunning Cartagena Colombia destination wedding at The Sofitel Santa Clara. Gerry and Jackie’s Sofitel Santa Clara Wedding was absolutely over the top.
I love discovering amazing new places that you may have never before even considered visiting. When Jackie and Gerry reached out to me about documenting their wedding at the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara in Cartagena, Colombia, I actually ran to the computer to start Googling images of the city. I discovered a city full of extreme historical significance, vibrant colors, and rich culture. They’d chosen a destination wedding in Colombia because of Jackie’s family roots there – where she was born and raised until her family moved to the United States when she was elementary school age.
We anxiously counted down the days until our departure, finally joining Jackie and Gerry in Cartagena a few days before their wedding.
The city, the wedding, the couple were all incredible. What a time! I’ll simply let the images do the talking. Enjoy!
