Natalia and Edgar are friends with another great couple I recently worked with,  Beth and Krys, and had happened to be looking for a wedding photographer in Houston right at the same time. After what seemed like forever due to rain-check after rain-check (actual rain-check, not the figurative rain-check, haha), we finally met at Hermann Park on a warm late July evening.  As usual, we arrived with no set plan, and just began wandering around the park looking for nice light.  Luckily there was plenty, and we snapped away, while making plans to include Discovery Green as a second location to the set. Natalia and Edgar brought a nice blanket that we set down beneath the trees at the park and got some of my favorite shots of the set. It’s definitely great to include nice props, which is something that I intend to do a lot more of in future sets!

After about an hour at Hermann Park, we packed up and set out for Discovery Green to get a couple more nice city shots in the waning light. Discovery Green was packed with flag football and soccer players playing on the fields in the park, so we had to shoot around them in other areas of the park. Edgar really wanted to get a shot of them with Minute Maid Park in the background, but unfortunately our vantage point from the park was less than ideal. We’ll have to go there on a gameday before the wedding to get a few for sure!

We got some perfect shots as the light slowly faded over Discovery green, especially the spur of the moment shot in the middle of the street with the George R Brown Convention Center in the background.

I can’t wait for their wedding in only a matter of months now! I hope you guys love the photos!
