This wedding was so much fun. It slowly gained momentum, like a train leaving the station (or the train of guests stomping around the tables in a line at the end of the night). With it being blazing hot outside, we elected to keep all the photos inside, which was a bit of a shame due to the beautiful manicured gold course right outside the reception area’s windows. From a rousing speech from the father of the bride containing snippets about her childhood boyfriend and her being the shortest in the family to grandma breaking it down on the dance floor, there was never a dull moment. I usually don’t include so many reception shots in my posts, but this one definitely deserves it.
Enjoy the photos!
Entrance to the Sweetwater Country Club and the beautiful golf course out back.
Nice “country-clubbish” details. The inside smelled of rich leather and cigar smoke, just as I’d hoped it would.
Lining the way for the bride with delicate rose petals.
More details falling into place.
Our groom getting ready, and flashing the Aggie ring.
Tucked away in the men’s locker room, getting a few games of poker in before the ceremony.
The bride, surrounded by her bridesmaids, all helping with the thorough lacing process.
Beautiful shots of the bride as she got ready.
A “high fashion” shot that she requested, done on the fly with one light bounced into an umbrella at camera left.
The moment has arrived! Down the aisle with dad.
Gorgeous ceremony.
The kiss!
Great summer details and place settings.
The groom’s Texas A&M themed cake, and the wedding cake. Really well done!
The bride and groom shortly after being married, posing for a few shots before the guests are let in from the bar area. Perfect natural light!
The first dance.
The rings.
Cake cutting and the bride’s dance with her dad.
Singing the Aggie War Hymn with, what appears to be, half of the Texas A&M alumni! I’m turning into a Texas Aggie wedding photographer!
Let the partying begin!
The father of the bride, who I am convinced is the happiest man in the world. He was dancing with whoever would let him, including grandma!
The bride in mid dance-off, serving a small child.
More partying, and a lucky shot I got of the bride and groom, shoving my camera between the curtain and shooting blindly while they were getting their photos taken.
The bouquet and garter tosses!
The bride and groom’s last dance of the evening.
And their bubbly exit from Sweetwater Country Club!
