High Dollar Session with Young Money Motors & Washington Redskins’ Trent Williams | Houston Automotive Photographer

Every now and then some really exciting sessions come along that make you rub your eyes and read the screen again. When I received word from Fee Banks at Young Money Motors that a few vehicles belonging to Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins (a Texas native)  needed to be photographed for an upcoming article, I couldn’t wait to hear what they would be. Casually, it was mentioned “It’s the Lamborghini.  And the Mercedes. And probably the Rolls. Oh, and I think we’ll bring the Ferrari, too”.

On the day of the session, I loaded up all my gear and headed to a location near Trent’s condo. Shortly after I heard something that sounded like a small jet approaching, a pristine Bianco Isis Lamborghini Aventador rolled into view with radiator fans loudly whirring, gulping in massive amounts of air to cool the big V12. Shortly behind it was the long, sleek, and extremely impressive Mercedes S65 AMG, in its own shade of white – Diamond White Metallic. It was apparent that they had brought out the big guns for the session.

We got started on the pair at the top of a nearby parking garage, ducking and covering every now and then from intermittent showers that have been so familiar to Houston this summer. The large reflective glass side of the building made for a great backdrop for the two cars, playing well with the crisp, clean look of these two machines. As I was beginning to set the two up for another angle, Fee informed me that Trent was bringing his brand new 2014 Rolls Royce Wraith to the party. I couldn’t wait to see this car again, as I shot it a month or two prior to this set (which will be released soon due to an time-specific embargo with the publisher). Shortly after, Trent arrived, and we lined all the cars up for a very impressive “million dollar” shot.

While we were wrapping up the shot of the big three, we were kicked out by security and had to move to the cramped confines of the parking garage of Trent’s condo, where the Ferrari 458 Italia made it’s appearance. We were able to “tetris” the cars into place for one quick photo before moving on to another location for some portraits of Trent with his cars. It was requested that we photograph Trent’s portraits at a location with some graffiti, so I chose a location close to downtown that has the famous mug of Chester the Cheetah (the cheesiest) spray-painted on the wall. We got some quick portraits of Trent for the feature, along with a few quick snaps of the cars in profile against the graffiti. It was a whirlwind session leaving me exhausted afterward, but excited for the shots of the two featured cars, the Lamborghini and the Mercedes.

We wrapped it up with a BTS shot of all the cars lined up with the Young Money Motors & Trent’s crews, followed by a quick one with the Young Money Motors guys, myself, and Harneal and Macon, who I can’t thank enough (along with Bryan, who is not pictured as he had to leave before we took the shot) for all their hard work on this set.

On to the photos!
